Kappo Cuisine

Kappo, like omakase Kaiseki, is a multi-course meal where the chef decides each dish. The term "Kappo" simply means 'to cut and to cook,' highlighting a less formal cuisine that fosters a close connection between the diner and the chef. This intimate dining style allows guests to observe the chef’s meticulous preparation and cooking of fresh, seasonal ingredients right in front of them. Kappo emphasizes the art of cutting and cooking, offering a personalized and interactive culinary experience that showcases the chef’s skill and the natural flavors of the ingredients.

What is Wagyu?

Wagyu "和牛", literally meaning Japanese "和", beef "牛 ", is a breed of cattle originally from Japan and it is famous for its rich marbling, exquisite flavor and texture, often regarded as the best and most expensive beef in the world.

At WAGYU KANATA, we have hand selected exclusive Wagyu brand from Iga in Mie Prefecture and from Furano, Hokkaido, only utilizing A5 grade (highest marbeling and quality) Wagyu.

Our menu offers a wide range of different cuts that can be enjoyed as steaks or as thin slices that are grilled at the table on our yakiniku grills.

What is Yakinku?

Yakiniku "焼肉" is the Japanese style BBQ with Korean influences, and it is the most popular way to enjoy Wagyu in Japan. There are more than 18,000 Yakiniku restaurants in Japan and it's one of the nation's favorite destinations to enjoy dinner and drinks with friends and family. Guests can enjoy a fun interactive dinner, grilling delicious food to their own taste.
